stitches you need to know:

sc-single crochet

magic ring- one of the ways to begin crochet in the round, you could use any method though.

ch-chain

HDC- half double crochet

inc-  increase

dec- decrease

 

body

orange yarn

the body is worked in the round not in joined rows

you should use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each row

row1  sc6 in magic ring    6 (if using another method to begin crochet in the round, just make sure there are six stitches in your row at the end)

row2  inc1 in each st in the row    12

row3  [sc1 in the first st, inc1 in the next st] repeat 6 times    18

row4  [sc1 in each of the next 2 st, inc1 in the next st] repeat 6 times    24

row5-16  sc1 in each st in the row    24

fasten off

note: to finish the body, stuff the body untill it is as full as you like, then use a tapestry needle and a scrap of orange yarn to sew a flat seam between the stitches in the last row of your piece

note:the mouth is not curved when it is done being crocheting,  it has to be sewn to the body in a curved way.

 

the eyes are made with the felt. cut to circles out of the black felt, then cut to more circles out of the white felt, but cut them slightly smaller in diameter.

i used hot glue to fasten the eyes together and attach them to the body, though you could use any method

happy crocheting :D
